Once Upon a Design

The Brush Fountain Pen takes its namesake and familiarity from the contoured silhouette of an artist's paintbrush. This shape was designed for good balance in-hand, while remaining comfortable over a long period of time. These characteristics are valued by every modern day writer or illustrator wanting to use inspiring tools that function as well as they look.

Drawing parallels to the ferrule, traditionally a metal section that holds the bristles of a brush, the grip section of the Brush fountain pen plays the important role of securing the nib. The spirited etchings on the grip are inspired by the mechanical components of our vintage printmaking studio equipment; including the flywheel of a 1912 Pearl letterpress, and a fully functional Underwood typewriter – the 'original' modern method of typesetting. The fanning geometric lines are analogous to the type hammers of a typewriter, each carrying it's own miniature metal type block, waiting to be activated. And like how the carriages of a ferris wheel support its riders, the cylindrical carriage of a typewriter transports its paper in a horizontal and circular fashion.

Absolutely stunning

I was so excited to be able to get the Brush fountain pen 😍 it truly is an immaculate writing utensil. I love the weight it has compared to the carousels. I can’t wait to be able to experience more from Ferris Wheel Press in my future orders

It's perfect

It arrived today. I inked it with the new Ferris Wheel Grape Ice Pop ink. It is exactly what I was looking for. Quick drying and the pen is so smooth!! I have a number of Fountain Pens ... I think I've just found another favourite!

The Brush Fountain Pen - Cerulean Midnight

One of the first fountain pens I bought was during midst of lockdown madness, trauma of loss, and abuses discovered magic of ink, and chose the FWP Echoes of Eaton. A lovely copper pen in deep rich mat brown with bolt so not roll. Always wondered why called brush fountain pen, recently came reference named as shape of paint brush. Missed out on last years 50% off pen sale, then this year lucked out when saw beautiful Cerulean Blue on clearance, plus applicable for other promotions! This is a beautiful looking pen, lovely shine, slim elegant shape, balanced weight. Makes me hope few more colours show up again!

First brush pen

The pen writes very dry and likes to false start a lot but the lacquer has a very nice feeling in the hand. The engraving on the grip section is very beautiful , I was worried the pen was going to be small but its a perfect size and very comfortable to write with

Not bad

Cute pen but a little overpriced.

Beautiful Pen

This pen is beautiful and writes very smoothly. It is easy to fill and intuitive. My only complaint would be that unscrewing the cap unscrews the section a little sometimes. I like the grip that the engraving offers, but if you move your fingers a lot when you write you may not like it as much.
