I originally ordered this ink Jan 3rd, as part of the promo buy 2 get 3rd free, lucked out that before price increase unaware of, but something went wrong with order. Shipping showed inactive wrong format of tracking, no way to follow-up, suspected not able to ship because of, reached out to customer support only way can, through email, and as FWP sadly become known for, long time before heard back, wrong information, finally they "got it", looked into, and advised that damaged in shipping and "fulfillment" looking into fulfilling.

Almost 3 weeks later, still not received update or original order, added the ink into another order and used code for free 38ml ink so not miss out.

Looking forward to dipping into and enjoying creating amazing art with.

Note to first time users, FWP lovely ink bottles have well earned reputation for being unpractical, not designed users for users, easily tip. I like to fill small bottle with and keep balance of bottle from compromised, or put in square glass holder to prevent sad accident and big mess!

The packaging of FWP 38ml bottles is lovely, most important good compact fit means easy to store the many ink hues and variations that FWP also famous for.

I’ve usually bought my FWP inks from my local stationary stores where swatches are available and I had some points to spend here so I was excited to order some. However, this ink is not the same colour as it is online when it’s on the page.

Rather than a red orange like they show online It’s a yellow leaning orange nowhere near as rich in colour as the swatches show and nowhere near as red. As someone who works with converting traditional work into a digital format and must colour correct my scans it’s kind of ridiculous how different they are. Small amounts of variation are common especially on different monitors but this is an entirely different colour.

The ink is fine but the whole point of a swatch is to accurately represent what a colour will look like. So either they just uploaded an incorrect swatch OR they have serious batch inconsistency. Considering pretty much all of the inks I ordered have the exact same problem and in looking through my collection almost NONE of them look like the website swatches I would not recommend anyone order from the site.

They perform fine but almost none of them are as bright and vibrant as they are portrayed on the site. Considering colour is so important to people who use ink it’s frankly unacceptable they are so different from their posted swatches considering colour correction exists and taking pictures of the ink with my professional camera yielded results more similar to the colour as it was in real life than that of the swatches put on the FWP website. Frankly it’s unacceptable to have such a large discrepancy.

This colour is the perfect complement to my other shades of orange and I love it so much that I bought extra bottles to make it last a long time. I’m an avid user of fountain pens and I had a hard time finding that shade of orange that satisfied me until this one joined my collection.
