Instructions

Changing Nibs

  • Unscrew to remove the barrel from the grip section and remove the converter.
  • While holding the grip, use a cloth/tissue to unscrew the nib and housing unit.
  • Twist your new choice of nib into the grip to reassemble, and plug the converter back into the housing on the opposite end; reassemble the barrel.
  • Note: Although the grip is threaded for Jowo nib housing, we cannot guarantee the fit of all your individual nibs. Rest assured, we promise their compatibility with all Ferris Wheel Press No. 6 sized nibs and the Adventurers Nib Collection.

Filling/Changing Ink Colours:

  • Unscrew to remove the barrel from the grip section and access the converter.
  • Place the fountain pen nib fully into warm water. Flush the nib by twisting/untwisting the converter until the water runs clear.
  • Allow nib to and converter to fully dry.
  • Fill a new colour by fully submerging the nib and feeder into the ink, then draw the ink into your pen but twisting the converter until you’ve reached the top position.


Notes:

  • For heavily saturated inks and darker tones, or clogged nibs, you may need to soak the grip/feeder in water overnight
  • It is normal for some air bubbles to enter the converter when refilling ink

Lovely looking fountain pen in colour of deep black night sky. Quality feel weight of metal finish that preference for durability. Purchased during New Year Holiday seasonal 50% promotion. Great time to try out stock! Just received review options, after advised FWP Customer Service at time of purchase looking for - to use on more pens and inks before run out! Filled inbox with all the temptations - would prefer to see link from within account, then no delay or overload to email. Pulled out pen to refresh memory for review and inspire creativity, as a lot of time passed since first impression. Hopeful from marketing image and description "dazzling as a precious gemstone" that would have shimmer "starry" effect that love in other pens, like image of Bijou pen long admired and sold out at time of coupon. Although more of subtle shiny brushed finish, lovely depth of colour and unique addition. Hope FWP does more with magical night sky effect personally love. In meantime, looking forward to dipping this one and getting hours and years of enjoyment. Nice that FWP boxes unique, easier to store and find in collection without opening each when looking to use. Prefer compact boxes and simple shapes, as takes up less storage room or travel space.

Almost ideal

This is a beautiful fountain pen, and the aluminum, tapered body provides a really nice balance to it. The cap can't be posted.

The product photos make the body look glossier than it is, it's more of a matte colour, which has a nice texture to it, and hides fingerprints really well.

My only nitpick is with the machining/finishing itself. Making a hexagonal body and cap means that the threads for the cap need to line up perfectly in order for the facets to line up when the pen is capped.

In the case of my pen, the brass nut inside the cap isn't quite aligned and has a ridge you can feel quite easily with your fingers when holding the pen, and the cap and body are slightly offset when fully capped.

Given the price, I would have expected more attention to be paid to the alignment of the nut and cap when posted.
