Care Instructions

DO NOT post the cap onto your pen when writing. Our pen has been designed and balanced to write with the cap un-posted
The threads of the cap are brass and risk damaging the lacquer if you post the cap
Store pen vertically with the tip pointing upwards when not in use to minimize clogs; routine flushing and maintenance recommended, especially with sparkling inks

Filling your Bijou Fountain Pen

Unwind the grip from the barrel of the pen to reveal the converter
Pull the converter off of the grip assembly
Clean your nib and converter by rinsing it in cold water until water runs clear
If the pen has not been in use for a few weeks, you may need to submerge the nib for an hour to loosen up the ink
Air dry the nib and converter and reassemble when fully dry
Twist the end knob until the piston is fully depressed
Submerge the entire nib into the ink, and SLOWLY twist the piston to draw the ink until the converter is fully extended
It is normal to have some small air pockets at the top of the converter

Loving it!!

So far the only complaint would be that the ink flows so well I have to be careful of it bleeding thought the paper. It was easy to fill and works so well! The lightness helps with sore hands. Loving it!!

For the price of this pen the quality is not there. Very disappointed. (I have some of their cheaper $20 pens and the quality is as expected) but for $170 this pen is a piece of junk. Save your money.

Their inks are beautiful and amazing. But I would steer clear of their pens and purchased elsewhere.

One of the first fountain pens I bought was during midst of lockdown madness, trauma of loss, and abuses discovered magic of ink, and chose the FWP Echoes of Eaton. A lovely copper pen in deep rich mat brown with bolt so not roll. Always wondered why called brush fountain pen, recently came reference named as shape of paint brush. Missed out on last years 50% off pen sale, then this year lucked out when saw promotion again looking for special pen that out of stock. Not the pen looking for, The Bijou Fountain Pen shares features of the brush pen. This is lovely looking pen, high glossy shine, over fine shimmer in unusual blush pink pen, slim elegant shape, balanced weight, bolt to prevent rolling and damaging. Looking forward to dipping and hoping lives up to my first. Comes with slim black velvet pen protector case embossed with gold maple leaf. Nice that FWP boxes unique, easier to store and find in collection without opening each when looking to use. Prefer compact boxes and simple shapes, as takes up less storage room or travel space. Box reads "Designed and assembled in Toronto, Canada". Strange wording, for company head office address in Markham, ON, Canada. Telling as FWP pens are not Made in Canada, sourced or produced, and although had been advised in past the metal pen only one that was, now wording tells different story. Hoping that FWP becomes truly Canadian company, including quality timely effective customer service, with all products sourced and Made in Canada, and essential to all of our future - as Nation, People, and Company, environmentally and economically sound practice - not just empty marketing "designed in" which meaningless claim lacking any value or substance beyond empty marketing spin, as source from China, at detriment to everything Canada, and sell at markup.
